Policies

  1. Roll call will be at 9:00 a.m. for day class and 5:30 p.m. for night class. Any student not present at the time of roll call will not be allowed to stay in school. RANDOM roll calls may be made at any point throughout the day.
  2. Students needing to leave prior to completion of their scheduled time must sign out on the appropriate roll sheet. An instructor MUST initial the time.
  3. Students that leave prior to completion of their scheduled time and do not have an instructor initial the time will be marked absent for the day.
  4. Students are allowed one (1) hour for lunch. Classroom students will take lunch from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. Clinic floor students may take their lunch hour at any time between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
  5. Clinic floor students MUST sign out for lunch. Any student leaving WITHOUT signing out for lunch will be marked absent.
  6. ONLY those clinic floor students with a client during the assigned lunch time will be allowed to sign out for a later lunch break or given credit for the hour they worked.
  7. Students failing to return from lunch within the specified time frame will be taken off the clock beginning at the tim ether initially signed out.
  8. Students are not to leave the school premises for breaks. Any student needing to leave MUST sign out. The time will be deducted accordingly.
  9. Attendance on Friday is MANDATORY. Any student failing to attend on Friday or maintain their scheduled time will be suspended for three (3) school days.
  10. Students are allowed 240 absent hours throughout their enrollment. Any student exceeding the allowed absent time will be subject to additional charges for overtime.
  11. Any student absent thirty (30) consecutive calendar days will AUTOMATICALLY be terminated.
  12. Upon written request, a thirty (30) day Personal Leave will be granted. Leave request must include a start and end date. Students are ONLY allowed one (1) personal leave during their enrollment.
  13. Medical leaves are granted as long as written documentation is provided by a physician. This documentation must include a start and end date.
  14. FAILURE to return from a Personal or Medical Leave of Absence on the designated end date will result in an AUTOMATIC TERMINATION of the student’s enrollment.
